We were originally intending to move MB to a new server (with the goal of making it a little more cost-effective to keep up), but we ended up having quite a few problems getting it to run without a hitch.
Since MB became a very expensive service (with little self-produced income to support it), we came to the decision that it would be best to finally close up shop and focus on anipan.
It wasn't an easy decision to close MB; it is something that we built from scratch and have held close to our hearts for years. It has introduced us to fantastic people and life-long friends, given us countless exhilarating and terrifying moments, challenged us to learn new things, and has guided our lives for the last half a decade.
On the bright side, we do have plans to integrate MB's gallery into a section of anipan in the coming months. We're currently looking into the best way to do this.
As far as anipan goes – please look forward to some exciting features that we have been developing for these last couple of months in whatever time we can spare. We've collected a lot of feedback and have spoken to a lot of users during the beta phase, so we're going to be releasing the culmination of our efforts this spring.
anipan originally started out as a new version of MB, so its legacy will continue even while closed.
Please find the official notice of closure here: [link]
Is it that hard to write a decent comment like that? Because clearly you can do this on someone's personal journal but reassuring tons people who had hopes for anipan and who already gave up because of not hearing from you guys for months seems kinda too hard for you. I wonder why?
On the Official FB Page they said they were moving servers, and it's taking awhile because they came across some issues. They said It will soon be back up again.
I think the people who created Anipan were the same people who used to run MangaBullet. MB didn't work for me for a long time too. I read into it more and that was when I found out that the MB and Anipan admin were the same people. Unfortunately it seemed like they abandoned Anipan and MB for a really long time :C their twitter didn't update for the longest time. They probably just shut down MB and made Anipan their main site to work on...
Yeah, that's what I am realizing reading the comments XD . Oh some people have told me here that they're just changing servers or something like that, so they'll probably will be back soon....hopefully
